Eye Candy! Tom Ford's 2011 Womenswear Video

 Now this is how I want to start off 2011!!  I have had an unhealthy obsession with Tom Ford since he was at Gucci, and I was breathless...yes, breathless...as I watched this video of his uber excluse 2011 womenswear collection presentation.  Not only are the clothes insanely sophisticated and glamorous, but I love how he mixed models with his own celebrity muses (Marisa Berenson, Lauren Hutton, Julianne Moore, Beyonce, etc.).  This has inspired my 2011 fashion resolution to kick it up a notch this year.  Gorgeous!

You may have voted in the election yesterday, but your obligation as a citizen is not done just yet!  My zany guy pal, Ryan Ottobre, is in the running to become Sunglass Hut's Full Time Fabulous fashion blogger, and he needs your help!  Ryan is a complete nut with the wardrobe to match, and he would really add some much needed quirk to Sunglass Hut's website.  And, I thought I would save you a bit of time, so I took the liberty of picking 10 videos at random from other contestants.  Let me tell you, I may know Ryan personally, but his video blew the others out of the water.  Most of the others I saw were pretty snoozy and in the vein of, "Hi.  My name is Sally, and I would be a great fashion blogger because I have loved fashion since I was a kid..."  Now, there were some great videos too, but Ryan's made me laugh and you really get a sense what he is about.  SO...Vote for fun!  Vote for zany!  Vote for Ryan Ottobre contestant #2921!

Breaking News--Sea of Shoes Blogger Tired of Buying Shoes!

You know the buy-buy-buy mindset of Americans has been put on indefinite hold when Jane and Judy Aldridge, the mom and daughter duo behind the jaw-dropping conspicuous consumption blog Sea of Shoes, have changed their tune to one of quasi-frugality.  Needless to say, I can't imagine Jane setting foot into a Payless or Baker's anytime soon.  Best of luck to them both!

Tracy Anderson Arm Sequence

Hot of the presses from Goop: another Tracy Anderson workout gem.  This time it's a 5-minute arm sequence, and I love how it has a 'right now' song attached as opposed to a no-name 'workout video' song.  I normally do this sequence two or three times in a row (depending on how much time I have) after I do cardio.  You can't imagine how much burn you get by waving your arms around.  You can also feel it in your abs if you keep them actively contracted.  And, as an added bonus you can check out Tracy's new set of boobs.  Those were definitely not featured on the original dance cardio and mat DVD's I have.  Haha.  One of my favorite quotes by Tracy is that if you bulk your arms it just makes more skin to sag later in life, so put your weights down and get to swinging.

 

And, PS--the dance cardio and mat workout DVD's I purchased in January are awesome.  I am a true Tracy Anderson addict, and my junkie status is revived whenever I find a new sequence or video to use.

I am eating up the new Vanessa Bruno-Lou Doillon collaboration for Spring/Summer 2010. It makes me yearn for warmer weather, and I can only imagine how much fun it is to dance around in a pile of talc...just like being a kid, making a mess, and not giving a damn.
